Since 1993: a journey full of growth
Over the past thirty years, Flexspecialisten has grown into an organization with 100 FTEs working in the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Lithuania. This is only possible with an entrepreneurial and independent mentality. Tom Sijpestijn started his company in 1993 with this attitude, and we still see this mentality in our employees. The timeline on the right shows the most important events of Flexspecialisten through the years.
The first steps across borders
In 1993, Flexspecialisten was founded by Tom Sijpestijn. With an entrepreneurial and independent mentality, he laid the foundation for an organization that would grow into an international player.
In 2000, the first Polish flex workers went to work in the Netherlands through Flexspecialisten. This marked an important step in cross-border cooperation.
This was followed in 2004 by the opening of the first Work Force branch in Poland, further expanding Flexspecialisten' international reach.

From crisis to strength
In 2009, during the banking crisis, Flexspecialisten actually managed to increase revenue through smart process optimizations. Proof that flexibility and decisiveness are in our DNA.
In 2022/2023, we opened several Inhouse locations in the Netherlands, bringing our services even closer to our clients.
Today, Flexspecialisten has several Inhouse locations in the Netherlands and several Work Force branches in Poland, Romania and Lithuania. We continue to grow, always with the same mentality with which it began.
