My name is Merijn, I’m 22 years old, and I live in Den Bosch. In my free time, I spend a lot of time playing sports, such as soccer, padel, and indoor soccer, and I enjoy doing fun things with friends. I’m currently in my final year of a two-year bachelor’s degree program in Management at Avans in Den Bosch.

Through my internship supervisor, I came into contact with Robin from Flexspecialisten. Flexspecialisten like a very interesting company for my professional development, and I had read many positive reviews about it. That’s why I decided to do my graduation internship here. My assignment focuses on improving work processes using the Lean methodology and standardizing projects. The goal is to address bottlenecks in the current workflow and devise practical solutions that make the work easier and more efficient. I do this by analyzing data, conducting interviews with stakeholders, and applying Lean techniques.

Working in two departments

Flexspecialisten me a unique opportunity: As part of my degree program, I’ve been offered a dual-track internship, which means I’m interning in both the marketing department and the account management department. This allows me to use my creativity and ideas to ensure processes and projects are carried out effectively. It gives me the chance to grow and develop professionally.

During my internship, I receive plenty of guidance and support. My colleagues are always willing to help me gather information for my assignments. This helps me immensely in successfully completing my graduation internship. My goal during this internship is to further develop my skills in process improvement using the Lean method and in project-based work. I want to learn how to better structure my projects, clearly define my goals, and work more efficiently toward successful results.
