At Flexspecialisten , we Flexspecialisten that talent thrives when given opportunities. That’s why, every year, we welcome interns who are eager to learn, explore, and grow.

Over the coming months, we’ll be welcoming four interns who will be working with us, learning on the job, and gaining experience. They’ll also be bringing new insights and fresh ideas to the table. We’d like to introduce them!

Philar – HR Internship

Philar (22) is a senior HRM student at Avans University of Applied Sciences in ’s-Hertogenbosch and has been completing her graduation internship at Flexspecialisten since February. Through June, she will be working on her final project, in which she is investigating how employees can be better encouraged to take advantage of educational programs and training courses. This topic aligns well with her interest in learning, professional development, and nurturing talent within organizations.

In addition to her research, Philar tries to learn as much as possible about the HR field. For example, she observes various HR activities, from managing absenteeism and recruitment to sitting in on interviews. This variety ensures that no two days are the same and gives her the chance to discover exactly where her interests lie within HR.

From the very start, she felt right at home with the team. Thanks to the open atmosphere, she quickly felt at home in the department and is learning a lot about the organization in a short amount of time.

In the coming months, Philar wants to focus on discovering which aspects of HR energize her the most, so she can gradually determine which area of the field suits her best.

Daan – Introductory Internship as Junior Account Manager in the Fresh Produce Department

Daan Kersten (16) is from Berghem and is in his first year of the Junior Account Manager program at Koning Willem I College in Oss. During his orientation internship at Flexspecialisten , he Flexspecialisten a firsthand look at how the business world works in practice.

At Flexspecialisten , Daan Flexspecialisten primarily on headhunting, recruitment, and reaching out to candidates. This gives him a good understanding of the recruitment process and teaches him how to approach potential candidates in a professional manner.

He’s really enjoying the internship: he finds the department welcoming, and the days fly by. In just a short time, he’s already learned how to interact with clients professionally and what a strong candidate profile looks like.

In the coming months, Daan wants to continue developing his skills, for example by learning how to conduct phone interviews with candidates even more effectively. He also hopes to perhaps do an internship at Flexspecialisten in the future Flexspecialisten work there part-time while he’s in school.

Soufyan – Administrative Internship

Soufyan (16) is from Den Bosch and is studying to become a Business Services Assistant at Summa College in Eindhoven, where he is in his first year. He is currently doing a work-study internship at Flexspecialisten get a feel for what the job is like in practice and to learn more about what his program entails.

During his internship, Soufyan works at the front desk. He assists visitors as they arrive, answers phone calls, and performs various administrative tasks. In this way, he is learning step by step how an organization operates.

He really enjoyed the first part of his internship. In a short time, he has already learned a lot, such as how to speak politely to people, write clear emails, and communicate professionally.

After his internship, Soufyan wants to continue developing his skills and eventually advance to a higher level. Although he doesn’t yet know exactly what he wants to do in the future, he hopes that through his education and internship, he’ll gain a better understanding of which path is right for him.

Thijs – Business Administration Graduation Internship in the Administration Department

Thijs is studying Business Administration at Avans University of Applied Sciences in ’s-Hertogenbosch and is in his final year. He is currently completing his graduation internship at Flexspecialisten, where he is working on improving the analysis of data related to absenteeism due to illness.

In addition to his internship assignment, Thijs has the opportunity to broaden his skills within the organization. For example, he is involved in tasks he hadn’t dealt with before, such as aspects of payroll, certification audits, and various financial duties.

What stands out to him most is how helpful everyone on the team is. His colleagues are always ready to answer questions and offer their input, which creates a pleasant and educational work environment.
