The move to the Netherlands
Karol is from Poland and had always wanted to live and work abroad. The Netherlands felt like the right choice, partly because a good friend of his Oss in Oss . When he heard that he could also find work in that same city, the decision was an easy one. What began as an exciting move to a new country quickly turned into so much more.
From adventure to development
Last year, Karol joined Flexspecialisten a Flex Support Specialist. After spending his first few months in this role getting to know our industry, our clients, and Flexspecialisten an organization, Karol made the transition from Flex Support to Back Office Associate. There, he was given the opportunity to further develop his skills and advance in his career.
That transition felt very natural to him. The work is an extension of what he did before, so the change wasn’t as big a leap as you might think. At the same time, it presented enough new challenges to keep him sharp and motivated.
No two days are the same
In his current role, no two days are alike, and that’s exactly what makes Karol’s job so enjoyable. He starts his day by setting priorities, since tasks often require time and attention. Over a cup of coffee, he organizes his day, and then he lets himself be guided by whatever comes his way. That variety ensures he’s never bored for a moment. There’s always something to check, improve, or correct.
Keep learning and growing
Of course, there are challenges as well. New systems, such as Nocore, take time to fully master. Still, Karol sees this primarily as an opportunity to keep growing. He receives full support fromFlexspecialisten in this regard. For instance, he has started taking Dutch lessons and is already looking ahead to his next step: passing hisArtra exam. That combination of opportunities and guidance really makes all the difference for him.
The right choice
What’s striking is that Karol can’t pinpoint a specific moment when he thought, “This was the right choice.” That feeling was there from the very beginning. From day one, he’s felt comfortable in his role, and that feeling has only grown stronger. While his move to the Netherlands once began as an adventure, it has since evolved into a serious career. He sees himself staying here for a long time to come and finds it hard to imagine working anywhere else.
