Just over a year ago, Jan decided to pursue a new career path. After many years of enjoying his work as a chef in the hospitality industry, he was ready for the next step. It’s precisely this new dynamic that appeals to Jan. He also sees the work schedule as a major plus. The regularity provides a better work-life balance than he was used to in the hospitality industry.

What Jan likes best about the butcher’s apprenticeship program is that he can immediately apply what he learns in theory to the workplace. Every workday offers new opportunities to gain experience and further develop his skills.
Step by step, he is growing into his role as a butcher’s apprentice. Thanks to his enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and dedication, he is steadily mastering the trade and has become a valued colleague on the team at Van der Zee Slagerijen.

Jan is looking ahead with confidence. He wants to gain experience and further deepen his knowledge of the butchery trade. If everything goes according to plan, he’ll complete his training in about a year. With his diploma in hand, he hopes to continue working at Van der Zee Slagerijen.
