Every month, we spotlight a Flex employee; for September, that’s Krystian Ciur. Krystian works through Flexspecialisten as an Operator at Van Loon in Best, where he goes about his daily work on the shop floor with a great deal of responsibility and dedication.

A Day in the Life of an Operator

As an operator, Krystian starts his workday by changing into his work clothes. Because of the work environment, he wears special sterile work clothes before heading to his workstation. There, he prepares the machine for use and makes sure everything is set up correctly.

Throughout the day, he operates and monitors the machine. This involves a great deal of responsibility. The process must continue to run smoothly, and if something isn’t quite going as it should, he must act quickly and carefully. It is precisely this responsibility that he enjoys most about his job. In addition, Krystian sees opportunities to further develop himself and continue learning on the job.

Gaining Energy from Interacting with Others

What he values most about his job is the interaction with Flexsupport and with other Flex employees. He believes it’s important not only to focus on his own work, but also to be mindful of the people around him.

Caring for and helping other employees gives him energy. When someone runs into a problem or needs support, he enjoys being there for them. That commitment to others is an important part of his workday.

Krystian is very positive and grateful about his collaboration with Flexsupport. He appreciates that they listen to him and work with him to find solutions when he needs help with something. For example, he once needed a day off on short notice due to family circumstances. Although this was unexpected, Flexsupport immediately looked into what was possible and was able to make the necessary arrangements. For him, this is a good example of how he experiences the partnership: personal and approachable.

His best moment at work

When we asked Krystian if there was a moment or milestone he’s particularly proud of, he didn’t have to think twice. For him, it’s the moment he was named Flex Employee of the Month. That means a lot to him. He hadn’t seen it coming at all. To him, it feels natural to simply do his job and do it as well as possible. That’s precisely why the recognition came as such a big surprise. The fact that his dedication is noticed and appreciated made the moment even more special for him.

Living in Schaijk

In addition to his work, Krystian lives in Schaijk, where his housing was arranged through Flexspecialisten . He finds Schaijk to be a cozy village, and after a busy workday at Van Loon, he enjoys returning to a place where he can relax and unwind.

The combination of a pleasant living environment and a location where he feels at ease has allowed him to settle in well in the Netherlands, even outside of work hours.

A beautiful dream for the future

He has a clear personal goal for the future. His biggest dream is to be able to bring his family to the Netherlands. In addition to his professional growth at Van Loon, he is also looking ahead to his life outside of work. Ultimately, he would love to continue building his future in the Netherlands together with his family.
