Cycling to work: a typically Dutch and practical habit
When people think of the Netherlands, bicycles are often the first thing that comes to mind. Whether it’s commuting to work, going to the grocery store, visiting friends, or just taking a ride around the neighborhood, bicycles are an integral part of daily life in the Netherlands.
For Flex employees coming to work in the Netherlands from abroad, the bicycle is therefore not just a convenient mode of transportation. It’s also an accessible way to explore the area and gradually become more familiar with life in the Netherlands.
Transportation that suits the work location
At Flexspecialisten , we believe it’s important that our Flex employees can commute to work in a convenient and practical way. Is a work location within biking distance of their home? If so, we’ll provide a bike.
Is the distance too far for that? In that case, we’ll explore other suitable transportation options, such as a car or bus. This way, we ensure that transportation to work is well organized and tailored to the needs of our Flex employees.
A great way to start and end the workday
Cycling to work also means spending a little time outdoors before the workday begins. After work, the ride home offers a moment to wind down at the end of the day.
Along the way, you also get to know your surroundings better and better: the streets, shops, neighborhoods, and, of course, the Dutch bike paths. It may seem like a small thing, but good mobility contributes to independence, convenience, and a pleasant work experience. And at Flexspecialisten , we believe that’s an important part of being a good employer!
