A fresh start in the Netherlands
Before Violetta Flexspecialisten , she worked as an assistant manager at a large retail chain in Poland. It was a job she enjoyed, but it didn’t offer what she was looking for in terms of financial security and future prospects. “I decided that, if I was going to change jobs anyway, I might as well try it in another country,” she says.
While walking through downtown Bydgoszcz, she noticed the WorkForce office, part of Flexspecialisten. It was an opportunity she jumped at. Not long after, she moved to the Netherlands to Flexspecialisten in manufacturing through Flexspecialisten .
From Production Worker to Flex Support
Violetta took her first steps in production at Unilux, one of our clients that manufactures custom-made window and door screens. She enjoyed working there for over two years, but gradually realized she wanted to pursue a different career path.
“I didn’t see myself working in production my whole life,” she explains. “That’s why I applied for an internal Flexsupport position at Flexspecialisten.” As a Flexsupport, you’re the first point of contact for Flex employees; you ensure they have suitable housing, that transportation runs smoothly, and that Flex employees are satisfied. “That was nerve-wracking, because I had no experience in this field. Fortunately, my background and knowledge of contracts helped a lot.”
Her ambitious attitude soon paid off. Thanks to her strong performance, Violetta was promoted to the role of In-House Recruiter, where she was given a great deal of responsibility and was able to further expand her knowledge.
Seeking balance and stability
After working on assignments for various clients and spending some time in scheduling, Violetta came to an important conclusion: she needed more stability. “In scheduling and as an in-house recruiter, my working hours depended heavily on the client. I wanted more peace of mind, a clearer overview, and a better work-life balance.”
That desire led her to the position of back-office assistant. It’s a role in which she starts each day with a fresh cup of tea, checks her emails, sets priorities, and can focus entirely on her work. “What I like is that I now know what to expect. Every day is different, but I have a sense of structure. That gives me peace of mind.”
Challenges and highlights
Of course, this role comes with its own set of challenges. It’s especially demanding when minimum wages change. “That means we have to handle a lot of paperwork and coordinate with clients. It requires a great deal of concentration and attention to detail.”
Still, Violetta soon felt that she had made the right decision. She says with a smile, “The moment I was able to hand in my work phone, I immediately felt more at ease. Even my partner noticed that I was a lot more relaxed at home. That was the moment I knew: this was the right move.”
A broader perspective and renewed energy
The move to the Back Office has not only brought Violetta stability, but also a broader perspective on her career. “I’ve gained a better understanding of my strengths and how I can contribute to the organization’s success. It gives me the energy to continue growing and confidence in my future at Flexspecialisten.”
She emphasizes that Flexspecialisten plays an important role in Flexspecialisten : “None of my managers tried to stop me when I told them I wanted to change roles. They listened, we made a plan, and everything went according to plan. That support really made all the difference for me.”
